Description
Glycerin is colorless or pale yellow liquid; odorless and syrupy; sweet and warm taste. It is hygroscopic and its solutions are neutral. Miscible with water and alcohol. Insoluble in chloroform, ether and in volatile oils.
Preparation
Take a saucepan, add one cup of coconut oil and olive oil in it. Keep it on low flame and gradually add 1 tsp lye and 1 cup water. Heat the mixture for 15 minutes and keep stirring till the mixture thickens.20-Dec-2018
