Description
Erucic acid 90% is a fatty acid derived from plant oils. It’s a versatile oleochemical that’s commonly used as a raw material for making amides. Erucic acid 90% is used in: Fabric care, Industrial surfactants, Lubricants, Grease. Due to the unproven responsibility for the poisoning effect in TOS, and the in vivo data on inducement of cardiotoxicity, erucic acid has been for decades classified as a toxic substance, the use of which should be rather avoided.
