Description

Diacetyl monoxime is a colorless, solid chemical compound with the formula CH3C(O)C(NOH)CH3. It is a derivative of the diketone butane-2,3-dione, also known as diacetyl and biacetyl. Diacetyl monoxime is a low-affinity, non-competitive inhibitor of skeletal muscle myosin-II. It also inhibits skeletal and cardiac muscle contraction. Diacetyl monoxime is also used as an analytical reagent for urea, cobalt, copper, nickel, and palladium.
