It acts as a free radical scavenger having the ability to stabilize them preventing generation of undesired odour. This chemical consists of a mixture of two isomeric organic compounds and is formulated from 4-methoxyphenol and isobutylene. It appears as a waxy solid having chemical formula C11H16O2 with molecular mass of 180.25 g/mol.
