MATSUMOTO   MICROSPHERE   MSL-3050   is   a   thermoexpandable   microcapsule   engineered   and   produced   by   encapsulating  volatile  hydrocarbons  in  a  shell  of  vinylidene  chloride  copolymer.  The  particle  size  is  10-20microns  and  MATSUMOTO  MICROSPHERE  MSL-3050  can  form  a  discontinuous  foamed  layer  when  treated  at  low  temperature  together with various resins in a subsequent process such as coating.
